WELL.....it seems like i officially have some 'haters'. I've been getting a few e-mails lately about how i need to update my blog more often and if i don't people will stop following me, they'll 'report me' (what?), or they'll stop reading my blog.

I'm SO Sorry if i have been busy busy busy for the past week and i didn't have time to write on my blog, but those e-mail just really made me mad! People don't come to my blog because i 'post often' (or i hope you guys don't..), and i don't even understand how i can be reported for not updating my blog. I'm not going to point out names, but you people who are whining at me can drop it - I DON'T CARE IF YOU STOP READING MY BLOG! I'm not even sure if i want those kinds of people on my blog in the first place.

I'm not blogging to become popular or to make people happy, I'm blogging to express myself. And i have a strong feeling im going to be getting even more hate mail just because people want to see my blow up again....UGH RAWR BACK OFF MY SHIT

I have some really exciting news to share with you guys!

I was watching Fashion Police yesterday (i don't normally....it just happened to be on!) and something really weird happened. It was a special on the Met Gala -old episode, i know- and if you ever watch fashion police, you'll know the format of the show. They show a picture of a person and what they re wearing - and either complement it, or bluntly hate on it over and over again. Heres what went down: each time they showed the picture of someone wearing something, i automatically knew who the outfit was by. IT WAS CRAZY!

This may not be so cool to a normal person, but it just really made me happy that i was already becoming so knowledgeable in fashion. I started this blog to express myself, yes, but i also started it to learn more about my own personal style and more about Fashion in general.

I feel like I'm achieving my goals! :-) And now for a little song that i like (seeeee.....my post title wasn't totally random). I like the song, but what really makes it attractive -or me at least- is Nicki's part. THAT SHITS HOT!

Montreal/Quebec City - Photo Diary

I hope you guys are ready for some hard-core photo watching! Montreal was such a beautiful city, but I've got to say that Quebec City was just out of this world. I think that Quebec City would probably be one of the most European Cities in North America. I really felt that i was in a mini Florence, or expanded Monte Carlo. ((RANDOM: I'm not sure if you guys watch a lot of TV, but theres a trailer for this movie called Monte Carlo. Every time they say the world 'Monte Carlo' it sounds like 'Monniecarlo'. It annoys the POOP out of me.))

I liked the contrast in this picture: the beautiful, bright yellow flowers and the not-so-beautiful graffiti wall behind them

It didn't really rain as much as i thought it would in Montreal, but when it did, it was a little terrifying. Something along the lines of....Hurricane x 100

This photo really creeps me out for some reason. Maybe its the sunshiny glowy effect in the far passage way, maybe it the light fixtures, who knows?

CANADA!

There were hanging flowers. . . . everywhere. But what was so sweet about them was the fact that they were all color coordinated (kinda like the picture below)

Ok call me a foreigner if you must, but i have NEVER seen something like this before! Its not the fact that it must have taken forever to make this, that amazes me. Its the fact that theres so much detail involved in this piece of art! Look, the bricks in the picture exactly match the bricks in the actual building. Come on, thats pretty cool.

Wow, those photos turned out a lot better than i thought they would. Overall, i had such a blast (i dont care if it took me 4 hours to get to Quebec City....it was still fun) in Canada and the people there were so nice. I don't understand why everyone makes Canada jokes...theyrs so sweet :-). Well, only one more photo diary to go!

Valentino//Alligator Tears

((Sorry i haven't been active these past few days, I've been busy busy in NYC and i just returned home. I'm going to be posting more randomly these next few weeks though: Birthday coming up, going to Florida/Wyoming/i don't know where else, and i was recently contacted by a modeling agency. . . . don't know about that one.))

ANYWAYS, lookie what arrived in the mail! It was a normal so-hot-my-goggles-i-left-outside-melted day, and i went to check the mail. I was pleasantly surprised to be greeted by a white package labeled 'Valentino'. I had two little booklets inside (I'm sure your going to be able to differentiate between the two):

I'm not too crazy about the clothing. . . . . . but i do like the letter 'v' that was Incorporated into some of the pieces (Pictures 4, 6, and 7). It small things like that, that really impress me.

I was very impressed with Valentino's hand bags/shoes, though. I really liked the studs that were used in the purse. I was feeling major Clou Noeud Spiked Louboutin vibes. I also liked the classic look and feel of the 3rd to last handbag. And now a song i very much enjoy. . . .

Before i show any of you my 'street style' pictures, i want you all to know i am no Lee Oliveira, Tommy Ton, and not even close to any Satorialist. This is just a rag tag collection of pictures i took of people who's looks inspire me. My goal for this Street Style post was to have a series of high quality and nicely photographed pictures - i basically failed in all aspects.

After completely and utterly failing at asking people -in french- to take their pictures for my blog, i just decided to take really sketchy pictures of people from a car. I saw many people with a GREAT sense of style, however the pictures i took of them were really -really- crappy. Sadly, the photos i did scavenge from the series i took still weren't the best they could be. I know they aren't the greatest collection of pictures, but the point behind this post was for you all to see some great style, and here they are:

No exaggeration being used, almost every person i saw riding a bike in Montreal was dressed amazingly! -And also they were the HARDEST people to capture, they moved way to fast.

The shoes kinda -really- suck, but those socks are sweet! The only thing better than these socks was the old man wearing them.

Kinda like the bicyclists, every Koren i saw was beautifully dressed and they had the best looking skin I've ever seen -no joke-.

Love! This girl was obviously late to school (she was wearing these bright clothes over her plain white shirt/green plaid skirt). I hope this girl didn't get in trouble in school because of her choice in clothing! You guys should have seen this girl run, she was quite entertaining.

Old Grandma! I don't know if she actually styled this, or she simply threw stuff on sleepily in the morning. I say this because there were literally at least 6 layers on this woman. Anyways, everything she wore was pink-ish and she looked so sweet and grandma-y.

Ok, this isn't really street style. I just took a picture of these two because they were holding hands and they looked really happy together, which made me -almost- cry and write a whole post on how complicated things are with this girl. I completely convinced myself this woman was a model. I'm 5'10 and she was easily taller than me! Don't know if you can tell, but shes wearing this really cool studded handbag.

This outfit wasn't exactly flattering, but i think she constructed it beautifully. Her jacket had stars on it, her leggings were outer spacey, and she was wearing mismatched shoes: How could you not take a picture of this girl?

I don't know if i took a picture of this girl because of her outfit, or because she was REALLY pretty. She was wearing an awfully short pair of shorts a-and she was really pretty. . . . .

Lets just act like this girl isn't Indian, and she just decided to wear this. She looks so good! The bright orange looked so great on her skin tone.

By the way. . . . . its mini-mood board time! I'm going to be doing this quite often now, because i have way to many moods to keep to myself. Prada Spring 2011 Menswear

I really love this whole collection, BUT my favorite part of this show is the setup. Basically, It was grass looking material on the ground and even spaced blue styrofoam (i think they're styrofoam.....) cubes on it. Each guest was seated at one of these blue cubes, and the models walked along a path that made every one's view basically equal. This was such a good idea on Prada's part! ((You cant really see the blue cubes in the following pictures, but I'll put a video at the end of this post for you all :-))

Kinda like this past season, floral seems like its going to be making a major come-back. I don't really own many floral pieces, so I'm going to have to go on a major floral-hunt soon. (By the way: No success on my Daphne Guinness hunt. . . . .yet.) You know how sometimes if you buy lots of books, the total price is lowered? I wonder if i buy this whole collection, the same change would occur - please-.

That footgear in picture 2! I kinda consider Prada's Mens shoes in my top 5 brand of ever. There's this one pair of Prada shoes that i was really considering getting today. I'm really on the line on whether i should get them or not. What do you think?

Be honest, be brutally honest with me. I love the first ones, but i want you guys to see all the option. If you guys do fancy these, which color scheme do you like most? ((NO I'm not asking my readers to answer questions because i have no friends!))

Haunted Church - Photo Diary

While i was in Montreal, i was taken to visit many MANY churches -for some odd reason, because i am not

Christian-. Anyways, the Churches were all very beautiful. I went to....about 4 or 5 and i really don't remember which pictures matched which church, so this is just going to be a mass of pictures.

Ok, these pictures are going to be from St. Joseph's Cathedral, a Notre Dame type thing, and a random church in Quebec City:

These places were so beautiful! My favorite place i went to was probably.....St Joseph's Cathedral. Its built on a huge hill, so you can basically see it from anywhere in Montreal. And because of that, the Cathedral has an AMAZING view.

A Little off topic, but i was watching Fact or Faked: Paranormal File a few days ago and they were talking about how lots of people accidentally take pictures of ghosts in old places (ex: a church). If you guys happen to see a ghost anywhere in the pictures above, please don't hesitate to tell me. . . . . . .LOOK AT THE CLOCK IN THE ORGAN PICTURE (it definitely looks like somethings coming out of it)

My Sunnies + Me

For Spring/Summer, i really wanted a bright pair of sunglasses. I looked for a while, wanting something original and unique, but sadly i couldn't find anything. I kinda ditched the unique idea, and switched to a new and improved classic. The first placed i looked was -of course- RayBan! Whats more classic than a nice pair of good ol' RayBans? I previously owned a black pair of wayfarers, and they looked great, they were chic, and they fit great. So i decided to look for Wayfarers.

After a few hours of browsing, i finally found what i was looking for. Light Blue Frame and Cream Temples. They look great with almost everything and the colors are perfect for Spring AND Summer. I don't know why, but a lot of sunglasses don't like looking good on my face, however these do a pretty good job at it.

You like? Cause i sure do! I know i may be getting a little ahead of myself, but i was also thinking about getting another pair of sunglasses for fall/winter. I was thinking a nice dark circle frame. I was looking a little earlier for a pair, and i think i found it! Illesteva Frienda:

Band of Outsiders Spring 2012 - Menswear

I know I've been skipping around lately, but i couldn't keep away from writing a post on this collection. 2012 - oh no....the world is ending. Lets just act like this Mayan 2012 thing isn't a huge lie, just for the sake of fashion. In my opinion, if designers knew that this Spring 2012 collection could very well be one of their lasts, i think they may try a bit harder to impress.

So far, from what I've seen, 2012 is going to be a VERY good year in fashion. BoO (i didn't want to call it B.O.) is torturing me...i know it. This collection is so elegant and simple, its interesting how captivating these pieces are. I've looked at these clothes many, many -many- times; but i still cant figure out what makes them so appealing to my corneas.

(Is it me of did some of these models have a tad bit too much bronzer applied?)

Favorite Pieces:

Sunglasses (1st Picture) - I haven't really seen that frame shape in a while, and I'm definitely ready for it to make a come back.

Double Breasted Suit (Pictures 4, 5, 6, and 7) - Not only do i love the shape and fit of these suits, but i also REALLY like the colors BoO is offering them in.

Rain Jrench (Picture 8) - Its not really as short as a rain jacket, or as long as a trench coat, so we're going to call it a Jrench (or Tacket, whichever floats YOUR boat). Also, the bright yellow color makes this Jrench very appealing.

The White Material (used in Pictures 1, 2, 4, and 7) - I stared at the pictures and looked at the runway video, but i still cant put a finger on what material is being used. It resembles nylon, but i don't think its that. Anyways, its love inducing.

The Color Blocking (in Pictures 6 and 7) - Blue Shirt + Charcoal Blue Suit + Orange Tie + Yellow Tie Clip.......some things are just perfections. But my favorite combo was the Sun Dried Green Shirt + Pale Periwinkle Buttons and Tie + Black Suit. Who conjures up these things?!

Can't wait till more Spring 2012 collection are revealed, till then!

Another Mood Board :-)

So, lately Ive just been a little social butterfly! Twitter, IFB, Empire Avenue, Blogger, Klout......My spirits have been extremely high. I also think this little trip to NYC is really reviving and seeing all this style in one place is very eye opening! My mood has been rising higher and higher at a pace that's impossible to stop. I'm going to feel pretty bad when it starts to plummet, though. For some reason, I've really been into Gifs so please pardon my extensive usage of them.

However, for now, I'm happy! I'm cheerful, every morning i wake up smiling (no joke) ((well, actually i had a very emotional dream last night that i woke up from crying)) (((but besides that....))), and everything has just been sunny side up. As you may have guessed, my mood board is going to be quite the opposite of my first mood board. To get the full effect of this mood board, i would advise you to press that little triangle :-)

WARNING: DON'T PRESS THAT LITTLE TRIANGLE IS YOU DON'T ENJOY MY AWKWARD CHOICE IN MUSIC (the beginning of the song sucks, but just keep listening.....it gets better)

CFDA Awards 2011

Let me give you a little insight on my life on the night of the CFDA Awards. . . . . I basically had two choices a) Go to a -rockin'- party with my best friends b) stay home alone -my family was at a social gathering- and watch the CFDA Awards. Obviously i picked choice B. I'm glad i did. Lots of nice outfits, my IDOL Daphne Guinness was there, Lady Gaga won the style icon award. Many, many exciting moments.

Back to Daphne Guinness. . . . . . I wish she was my neighbor so i could bake her a batch of warm, soft cookies. I really want to have a conversation with this woman! She seems so incredibly knowledgeable and like-able. I'm in Canada at the moment, but when i go to New York, I'm going on a Daphne Guinness hunt. -and i WILL succeed-

I like Zac Posen's look! I need to get myself one of those suits. And of course my favorite outfit by far 100% was Daphne Guinness. She's so effortless chic and beautiful. I think one of my goals in life is to be the male equivalent of Daphne Guinness. I wonder how it would feel to be Daphne Guinness.....even just for a day! I bet it feel quite amazing.

I was thinking. . . . . there should either be a Fashion Blogger award, or a separate Fashion Blogger Awards. The FBA's! See it works perfectly! How cool would it be if there actually was such a thing? I think many people would be against it, but still...I'm sure a lot of people would like it too :-)

Who Wants To See An Outfit Post ? !

Well i am SO sorry, your not getting one! I promise I'll get to some outfit posts the moment i return home. However, I've got a very special treat up my sleeve for all you faithful followers out there. Today, this post is going to be dedicated to a person extremely close to my heart - Betsey Johnson. I was debating on whether to write about her Spring or Fall collection...but they both were so beautiful. I ultimately decided to go with Fall - the collection was more my style! (hehe)

All i can say is - CRAZY (in a good way PEOPLE!). This show was just so much fun to watch! The models, the collection, the music. They all worked together to really present a high energy, exciting show. And that's what its really about! Preforming and presenting. Betsey Johnson, after looking through her extensive collection of collections, has really brought something new to Fashion each season. Designers like her are here to stay and are here to make a difference

AND...

Is it just me, or do these models have a....Jessie J look to them? That's immediately the first thing i noticed when i started to look through the picture: These models look like Jessie J......a lot like Jessie J.

After i started to think about it for a bit, it all clicked. This show was a collection of Betsey Johnson's Pink Patch line - everything was priced below $100. And Jesse J sang the song 'Price Tag'! Get it? Like the Price Tag of these clothes.....You Guys! I'm feeling awfully smart.....:-) and that doesn't happen very often.

Dirt: Son of Sassy

I know -for a fact- that Sassy Magazine was one of THE BEST magazines out there for teen girls. This is all really wonderful and such, but I'm a teenage boy. By now, you may be wondering where I'm going with this, don't you worry, I'm getting there! Sassy had a short lived -blehh i want long lived- spin of magazine for teen boys called Dirt Magazine. Well...after searching high and low for Dirt Magazine for 3 days (that's a long time....seriously all i did was look for Dirt Magazine) i found a VERY sketchy online seller that i didn't trust at all.

I asked him about buying Dirt Magazine, and lo and behold, he forgot to delete that sale.....he was supposed to delete it about 5 years ago. COOL. So my search continued for 2 more tedious days, till i finally just though, "why not just ask Jane -Jane was the founding editor of Sassy-?". That's exactly what i did! I went to Jane Pratt's site -xoJane.com- and sent her an e-mail asking where i could possibly find any copies of Dirt Magazine.

What i saw about an hour later BLEW MY MIND. She tweeted:

WHAT? Shes going to send me a copy....AND she called me a cutie! This is beyond anything.....this woman is such a kind hearted person! And right after this tweet...This was on her site:

Does Jane want to give me a freaking heart attack? Shes going to send me copy when 'we all get them out of storage', she called me cute, she featured my e-mail on her site. JANE PRATT I F-ING LOVE YOU!

Don't know when I'm going to receive Dirt Magazine, but when i do, you all better be ready for some hard-core blogging from me, and some hard-core blog reading from you!

Alexander Mcqueen Fall 2011 Menswear, You Say?

Let me just give you a little insight on one of my many experiences with Alexander McQueen. I was counting down the the minutes till the Fall 2011 Menswear collection, when i suddenly realized that i was going to be in school while it was going on. JUST MY LUCK. I told my teacher i had to go to the office because i wasn't 'feeling well'. Sucker, she ate up that lie like it was a warm cookie. I ran to the library (the only place that actually has a TV/Computer for teenage uses) and proceed to watch the entire collection there.

Let me tell you, i was so mesmerized by these pieces, i did even look at the clock (uh hu, ok). Little did i know that my class was well over, and my next class had started. I'm not going to take you through all the story (i got caught in the library, i said i threw up, etc.) but i got away with it little damage done. What ever though, who hasn't lied for Alexander McQueen a few times? This collection was WORLD-CHANGING! I couldn't even recall a thing from the class after that...i just stared at the bored recalling what i has just witnessed.

I think the one thing that really made this show work, were the models. I've never seen a designer match their clothes with models as well as i did here. It was as if the clothes themselves were destined to be worn by these Models. Although these pieces look WONDERFUL in picture form, they really looked 58402 times better in real like (or on the computer, in my case). The colors were exceeding my expectations (the golden yellow jacket, 2nd picture, blew my mind!), the fabric seemed more liquid/light than real fabric, and the models walks were unbelievable.

Kiss Me! Missoni

I kinda felt like i was covering a lot of menswear lately so......here's a little something for you women (and men, I'm not one to judge). The reason why I'm writing about Missoni Spring 2011 is basically because the patterns and colors. Never have i seen a designer use SO MUCH color and SO MANY pattern in one collection. I feel like Missoni really went out on a limb with these pieces, but they 100% succeeded and i bet they're reaping the benefits at the moment ($$$).

I'm feeling some major I-Just-Went-To-Africa-So-That's-Why-My-Collection-Has-So-Much-Color vibes. I love how there's such depth and culture in all these Spring collections, its such a huge sign of growth in the Fashion Industry. This really shows that Fashion itself, is definitely moving forward towards a better and more united future.

Favorite Pieces? I really liked the last picture, and the 3rd from the last picture. The way the circles are Incorporated into that already patterned dress is just other worldly. It really just screams WICCAN to me -and i love it-. My complements to Missoni for bringing such elegance and beauty to the runway (i have no idea how they re going to top this one off).

Kenzo, Darling

I do love Kenzo, but this season, my love seemed to flourish. If you saw Kenzo Spring 2011 RTW Menswear in action, on the runway, you would have noticed the women walking down the runway alongside the men (while wearing the men's clothing). The women were walking the runway to show that the men's clothing not only was for men, but fitted women as well. Antonio Marras (creative director behind Kenzo) stated, "That's the freedom of Kenzo, the breaking of rules". They've been an awfully lot 'breaking of rules' lately......I LIKE IT!

I like the way they Incorporated their native Tokyo vibes in this collection. It bring something new and and fresh to the table, and quite frankly, i find myself wanting more. More east-Asian influence on Fashion please! I really enjoy it when i can tell that a certain culture is behind the clothes. It gives the collection a more personal and emotional feel.

Do you feel it? Do you feel the Asian vibes? No? Well ok, I'll admit there's also a little Mediterranean mixed in there, but i still think the Asian part overpowers it. All the usage of nudes in this collection were perfect, not too much, not too little (that rucksack is legendary, I've actually been wanting a rucksack....). The most interesting pieces, in my opinion, were the 2nd and 3rd pictures.

The 2nd picture's horizontal navy and white pants really struck me as odd. I haven't seen horizontal stripes for such a long time, it was actually pretty weird looking at them. I like them, though. I hope horizontal stripes are making a comeback.......And the 3rd picture! I liked the idea of a patterned cardigan, on a same patterns...sweater? Ya its a Sweater. I have no idea what makes that certain pattern so appealing to my eyes....This collection was a host too some strange (yet very appealing) ideas. Kenzo, darling, you have yet to displease me.

Daphne Guinness - Idol

I don't have many idols, but the few i do have really inspire me and i thrive to know more about them. One of these select few, is Daphne Guinness. Daphne Guinness is an heiress of the Guinness Family, and although she is an artist, i pull my inspiration from her in Fashion. In the fashion industry, Daphne is known for her journalism and ultimate sense of style.

In the most basic form, Daphne is a fashion goddess. Shes a collector of haute couture, shes listed in the International Best Dressed List Hall of Fame, and she also models. However, my favorite part of Daphne, is herself. The way she thinks, the way she looks, the way she presents herself is mesmerizing. Nowness recently filmed a video on Daphne Guinness, and it just made me adore her __ this much more.

My favorite part of this short documentary is when Daphne states, "When people label me as eccentric or different, I'm kind of astonished". Who can't relate with that quote? People's vision of you, may be completely different than what you think of yourself. I, personally, try my hardest not to listen to the negative things people say about me. However those few times when i cant help hearing what people say, i become a bit discouraged. And (I'm sad to say) i don't express myself to the full extant that i can. I'm still working on that. . .its a work in progress.

I'm just trying to get to the point: Don't let people shape you into what they want. Be your true self. Express yourself as if no ones looking, and if they do look - So What! I always think its better to be yourself and be happy, rather than be who someone else wants you to be and sad. Here are some of Daphne Guinness' rather rad up dos:

Sometimes, i wish my vocabulary exceeded the word amazing.....Viktor & Rolf really need a word that about 3 steps up from amazing. I don't know if breath-taking will do it, but i think its somewhere around that ball park. Lets do some math., shall we? This spring 2011 RTW collection was better than breath taking but lower than wow-i-just-spilt-my-warm-milk-and-honey. And i guess the word we're looking for that describes V&R is the variable x.

See mother and father, i still do some schoolwork during the summer! Ok moving on, this collection was absolutely, 100% _________ (insert x word here). From this moment on, whenever i think of high fashion, V&R is really going to be the first brand that comes to mind.

I just love how they call it ready to wear. Ok, i am SO sorry to point this out, but i don't even think Lady Gaga is ready to wear this. Ignoring that point, this last piece is pure imagination that somehow came to life. I'm still in awe at how its defying gravity, while being worn by a model, while being walked down the runway. Just look at that models face, you can barely even tell that shes about to cry! Bravo, model girl, props to you! Don't know about you guys, but i don't think that would be very comfortable to wear.

However, beauty hurts, doesn't it? You have to sacrifice to look good. In this dress's case, i think the person wearing it would have to sacrifice a) full motion in their arms b) turning around (you could easy knock a few women in heels to the ground with that thing) c) a few pounds before wearing that dress. Alas, the other pieces were complete genius. I enjoyed the the sailor vibe i was getting from most of them *besides the 2 zebra print ones, definitely NOT sailor, more like South African*. Viktor & Rolf, your on the road to perfection! I'm most definitely going to be keeping an eye out for your next collection

Too Much Perfection - Can't Handle It - DEAD (Shipley & Halmos Spring 2011 Menswear)

Blah blah blah don't judge me because i LOVE cheesy titles. To be completely honest, i haven't really ever considered looking at the Shipley & Halmos collection. I've heard of it, just never looked at it. I'm so glad something in my brain told my hand to click on the Shipley & Halmos rectangle on Style.com, because if i didn't, i would probably just be another fool on this earth who hasn't ever looked at Shipley & Halmos, you know what i mean?

Ahmayzing! This is what i call photography! Way to sell the product S&H (yes, that's what i call them now). Some of you other designers out there -you know who I'm talking to-, you could learn a thing or two from S&H. If you add just a little fun to your collection, it'll go a long way!

I can see this all from your point of view. 'He only likes the photography, not the actual collection!' LIES! Lies i tell you, LIES!!! I adore this collection. Simplicity + Patterns + Wow Those Colors Are Pretty Cool = I like you collection, i really like you. I especially like the black and white striped tee, with the black and white striped swimming trunks.

I think one of the reasons i like this so much is because its something new. I can honestly tell you all that Ive never seen a model look so calm while hes in the midst of a confetti tornado. Or Ive never experienced someone trying to shield themselves from a plethora of blue feathers, with an umbrella. Bravo S&H, BRAVO!

Can We Bring These Days Back, Please? Comme des Garcons Spring 2006

Being out of school, and in the midst of summer vacation, you may be wondering what an average 14 year old is doing. Well i don't know what a normal teen is doing these days, however i do know what I'm doing. I'm basically on a Style.com overdose. The sun sets later than usual, the weather is humid and windy, and style.com is in my favorites. I really have no other choice than go back and explore fashion's history.

One of my ALL TIME favorite collection (i really wish i could buy this whole collection. . . everything is so amazing) = Comme des Garcons Spring 2006 - Menswear *of course!*. Really Comme des Garcons? How can you not expect me to choke on my warm milk and honey when you mix one of my favorite bands -The Rolling Stones- and one of my favorite brands -Comme des Garcons- together? I'm not joking about the milk thing, though. I was just drinking my nightly warm milk and honey, trying to get sleepy, browsing Style.com, and i saw this collection and i half-choked-half-spit my milk on myself.

How could you not be falling in love with all these patterns and colors?

Really though, think how much fun this show would be if you were there. Do you see the look on some of these model's faces? They seem so old-school, i bet you they were having the time of their lives walking that runway for Comme des Garcons. . . modeling those rad clothes.

IN OTHER NEWS: As each day passes, New York/Canada is drawing closer. My cousin that I'm staying with while in NYC works are the Met, so I'm almost positive shes going to take me to Alexander McQueen heaven :-).

Im also going to Jackson Hole, Wyoming this July -the day after my birthday-. Dont really know why. . .but heres a little Jackson Hole video i found.

What on earth...sorry for the exceedingly annoying background music. I dont know if Jackson Hole is really as good as this video makes it out to be, but whatever! Im always up for a little vacation. Harry Potter Mood Board

Not sure if I've shared with you yet, but I'm a Harry Potter zealot. I worship Harry Potter, and its depressing to think that in one month, the last Harry Potter EVER is coming out. Me and my friend that's a girl ( not girlfriend, eww cooties) are going to see the midnight premiering. We're dressing up, and we're going to embarrass ourselves BIg TiMe.

Anyways, because Harry Potters been in my mind day in and day out, my mood is pretty magical. I had a dream last night that i got kicked out of Hogwarts, and i was crying when i woke up. You see, Hogwarts is my brain's favorite place to take me while i dream, and i love it. However now that I'm kicked out, I'm scared my brain wont take me there anymore :-(.

The dancing ones are the funniest :-) (and what....why on earth is Snape smiling?)

Sorry they weren't so inspiring........i was aiming for comedy ;-) I really tried to incorperate Harry Potter with Fashion, but i failed miserably (i know i used too many smiley faces in this post..i apologize)

Men: In the Fashion Industry

I often think about Fashion, and sometimes my thoughts get pointed towards Menswear. It bothers me a bit when i compare Men's fashion with Women's fashion. Menswear has so much potential, and so much room to expand. Although some designers and influential people in the industry are trying to get Men's fashion caught up with Women's fashion, they still can use much needed help.

Men's fashion is still a relatively new concept. I think the reason behind Menswear falling so behind Womenswear is Society. In today's Society, men/boys being interested in fashion isn't really smiled upon. I think many men and boys are intrigued by fashion and would love to learn more about it, but if they do, they know they will probably be labeled/make fun of. This really irks me because people should be able to have interests in whatever things they want to! Someone shouldn't be discouraged to like something just because it isn't 'normal' or because most people aren't interested in it.

I feel like before a certain time, most fashion related jobs were for Women. However, with time, men began to seep into these careers. Men have began becoming designers, models, photographers, etc and i believe that at the pace Men are at, this is going to keep happening. Right now, you don't see many Super 'male' Models, however in the near future i am positive they are going to being appearing. Same thing with blogging, there aren't many men blogging compared to the amount of women that blog.

My overall point to this post is that although men were falling behind in fashion terms, they are gaining more and more supports. And before you know it, there's going to be high fashion/couture options for men too! At the pace that men and fashion are merging, its just going to be a matter of time till Men and Women fashion become equal.

I think i have a problem. . . in the previous 3 hours, I've visited Style.com 14 times (I'm considering making it my home page). Because I've basically already read all the prominently featured articles on Style, i was forced to go re-visit my favorite (and least favorite) spring 2011 runways shows.

One of my favorites was Jill Sander 2011 Menswear. I think i like menswear so much is because a) I'm a man (ok...a boy) b) i enjoy observing how different designers attempt to bring something 'new' to menswear. (I'm going to do a post later on this Summer about Men & Fashion...). Although Jill Sanders didn't bring anything particularly 'new' to Menswear, they did come up with GREAT spring collection. Many different ideas and patterns were brought to the table.

THIS is what i call Spring 2011! Bright, Bold, and Spontaneous colors. Even my pup was watching this with me.....Only a true designer could captivate a spazzy, hyper dog like mine. There was this one shirt around the 2:00 mark, i need that right now please! I'm already starting to make a list for my New York trip. (my piggy banks going to be getting awfully lighter...)

PATTERNS:

How on earth is that much bone structure even possible?! Look at this man in the 2nd picture....How can i even concentrate on the clothes when theres such a masterpiece above it?

Congratulations if you caught my 'now thats what i call music' joke. HAHAHAHA i know, don't laugh too hard. Like i mentioned before, this is what i picture when i think of Spring. Jill Sanders captures each season in the perfect way that it should be captured. Theres a fine line between S/S and F/W, follow it!

Bravo Jill Sanders! BRAVO! Flower prints, during Spring. Genius......I'm not sure why, but in my point of view, these prints really radiate Japanese vibes, and I'm loving it. The last time i saw Japanese inspired clothing was probably.....Givenchy (i think).

I think I'm going to start looking into Japanese Fashion, its so interesting and different!

Empire Avenue

I was reading one of my favorite blogs, when i saw a post on Empire Avenue. It looked fun enough, so i decided to check it out.

I quickly discovered that this was going to be big. Empire Avenure is a virtual...'wall street'. You can buy/sell shares, endorse other people's blog, and connect your twitter, facebook, flickr, etc. Whats really captivating about this site is the fact that they mix this virtual 'wall street', with real life social media networks. It's fairly easy to use once you get a hold of it, and it's a fun thing to do when you've have some free time on your hands.

Alexander McQueen. . .You Will Be Missed

Lately, my thoughts have been directed towards Alexander McQueen. I don't know if its because of the MET''s Savage Beauty, his tragic death, or simply his amazing designs. I would take you on a journey throughout his whole designing career, however that would probably take me a month or two.

I've decided to pick my favorite season. Alexander McQueen's Spring 2010 RTW was....something from the beyond. I didn't know human we're even capable of making (or wearing) these types of things! Everything about this collection was perfection.

However, from what I've heard, the runway show was the best part of this collection. The mixture of high fashion, art, and technology was unbelievable. The models were all so stunning! Did you see their hair? I think i may know where Katy Perry found her inspiration behind E.T. As Susie Bubble said, "At first glance, it's amazing [Oh] and it comes up closer and it becomes even more a beautiful vision". I think that quote sums up my entire thoughts for this whole fashion show.

This is going to be extremely difficult for me to accomplish, but I'm going to attempt to pick out my favorite pieces from this collection. Ok, here i go:

HAIR:

Her eyebrow....bones are amazing

Just think of the extensive amount of time and labor that went into the making of these models. What i really like about the models, though, are their 'bone' structures. I don't know what its made of, but the things they added to the models faces make them look completely breath taking (and a little scary..).

SHOES:

Although i do love the armadillo shoes, this last 'regular' shoe really blew my mind. I think its the armour feeling it has. The metal heel, the rusted color, the way the heel is fastened together. The last armadillo shoe picture is my all time favorite. It's so elegantly designed and i adore the falling metal design over the nude pink.

DRESSES:

I think what really made these dresses so magnificent is the way they were put together. If you look at the patterned dresses, you can easily isolate each different pattern. So the real beauty of the dress is the way the patterns were brought together, and considering how many different ways pattern matching can go wrong, it was beautiful to see the patterns merging into one.

R.I.P Alexander McQueen, you will always be remembered.

Excluding myself from the competition, Tavi (from TheStyleRookie.com) would have won. I love her blog and i really enjoy reading it because it feels like I'm talking to a good friend. Its cool how there are more teenage fashion bloggers out there, it makes me feel like I'm not too alone in a sea of older bloggers. I'm probably going to start a new poll tomorrow so...BE READY!

Hello there!

I just wanted to share a little exciting information with you guys! While my parents are in Italy this summer, my brother and i will be going to New Jersey/New York (yes....) and Canada. Can't wait!

OK, well i go to New York often, but I'm not that familiar with everything there. If anyone has any recommendations on where to shop/where to go/what to do (remember you guys, I'm 14) please contact me (mordrian@yahoo.com) because....this New York trip is going to be rockin'. I'll make sure to take tons and tons of pictures for you guys, and I'm thinking about meeting some other fashion bloggers, as well!

If so, was it as bad as i think? Because the thought of me asking someone to take their picture. . . . is a bit frightening.

Desert Boots. . . .

I don't remember if i mention this or not, but I've been wanting a sturdy pair of desert boots for a while. In my opinion, these are an updated version of last seasons desert boots. My favorite part of this shoe is it's simplicity. Ankle high, simple stich design, one solid color.

By now, you may be wondering where i obtained such rad shoes. Well, about a week ago i discovered Etsy, and my life changed. Etsy is basically a fashionable Ebay filled to the brim with Vintage and Handmade items. I bought these shoes from SkippyHaha's store.

My Etsy cravings have been skyrocketing these past few days, and I'm not sure my limp wallet can take it. There are just so many cool stuff........ ok back to the shoes. These are by FootJoy and are a joy to wear. I love the feeling when your walking down the street and people kinda quickly glance at you, and their eyes move down to your shoes, and their glance turns into pure jealous. (That's pretty much what happens every time i wear these shoes).

The only down part to these attention grabbing shoes is the slight heel. I know I'll probably get used to it, but for now the heels on these shoes are making it a bit harder to walk and keep my balance (i actually fell down once...too embarrassed to tell you guys the story.) However, if a slight heel is the price i have to pay for beauty, I'm all for it! It hurts to be beautiful.....(i don't hurt often so...).

However, putting the heel aside, these are amazing shoes. The color easily matches the rest of your outfit, its perfect for Spring/Summer, the shape is really attractive, and the price i bought it for was rather pleasing. I don't think SkippyHaha has anymore of there shoes ( :( ) but i know that she has many more vintage items. Thank you Etsy...for being so RAD.

Do's and Don'ts of Blogging

Blogging has become so popular and so widely used around the world, i feel that it was about time i went over a few things. In this post, I'm going to be discussing some do's and don'ts of blogging. I've been following these rules since the moment i started blogging, and my blogging career couldn't be any better! I would strongly suggest that you start following these rules too, because there may be some things that you haven't been doing (and that you need to start doing)!

DO'S:

*Add pictures to your blog! IFB recently featured an article on how important it is to use quality imagery on your blog. When you use photos on your blog posts, it engages the reader and they remember what you wrote about.

*Proofread. This may seem like a waste of time, but it really does help. Before you publish any of your posts, take time to re-read it, and make sure there aren't any misspelled words, or incorrect use of grammar. This will make your blog more professional and presentable.

*Add life to your writing. Nobody wants to read a boring, non-thought out, monotone post! Engage your reader, make sure what your writing about (and how you write about it) is exciting and enjoyable!

*Try GuestBlogging. Guestblogging is a way for you to expose yourself and your blog by writing articles for other blogs. This helps you out because you gain more exposure, and you get meet many new bloggers and form a relationship with them.

*Comment on other blogs. Commenting really will help you out in the long run. People will read your comment, they may like it, they may even give your blog a look! (plus, when you comment on other blogs, they'll appreciate it and probably come back and comment on your blog)

*Join a blogging community! IFB is a perfect example of a great way to interact with other bloggers, and learn a thing or two about blogging. When you join a blogging community, revisit them often and really strive to make friends with other bloggers.

*Have fun. Blogging is supposed to be a fun, enjoyable activity! Don't feel like you HAVE to post on your blog EVERY DAY, take it easy. Take a break if you have to. Blogging is about sharing your ideas and thoughts with people everywhere, and having a fun time doing it.

DON'TS:

*When someone leaves a comment on your blog, don't ignore it! They took the time to read your post, and then write a comment about it. The least you could do is visit their blog and write a nice comment on one of their posts.

*If you ever disagree with something someone wrote, its OK to comment and share your thoughts about it. However, theres a difference between sharing your thoughts and ranting. Don't ever engage in a full fledged arguments (using 'unneccisary' words, calling them names, calling they're article post stupid). Comment on other blogs the way you would like your blog to be commented on.

*Don't blog because you want money. If you started a blog with the sole intention of gaining money, it probably isn't going to go very far! Blogging isn't about money, its about sharing your opinion, your taste.

*Don be sloppy, get organized! Make sure all the links on your site actually go someplace. Use proper grammar. Be sure that your blog has some sort of archiving system.

*Make sure your blog doesn't fall under the over cluttered category. Many bloggers get 'widget-happy' and put every little widget they can fit into their blog. This drastically decreases the overall look and feel of the blog, and people wont re-visit.

*Refrain from using bad language. It probably wouldn't make a different if you use one of those words once or twice, but if the F-words popping up every other sentence, there are going to be problems. Using constant bad language reduces the respect your blog gets, and give it a mediocre feel.

(P.S. WOMEN ONLY -UNLESS YOUR INTO CROSS DRESSING- I'm selling a huge load of shoes and bags on Etsy. Spring Trend: Lace

This spring/summer, a big trend I've been noticing is Lace. Lace dresses, lace tops, lace shorts, lace SHOES! I know this isn't a particularly new trend, but like History, Trends repeat themselves. This spring/summer, the color of lace is a very important. If i were you, i would either go with a white, black, or nude color lace. Any other color would be taking it a little overboard (keep your other colored lace for this Fall though). If you choose to use a white colored lace, i would accordingly wear other light colored clothing with it.

TIP: Please keep it at a minimum of 1 Laced article of clothing per outfit.

If you choose to go with the black colored lace, i was surround it with dark nudes, or other dark shadowy pieces. Black lace also looks great with white, if your looking to take the traditional Black & White route. I've seen many many nude lace dresses here and there, and most of them are just breath taking! If you own a nude lace dress, or your planning to get one, i would go with a nude or black pair of shoes. Remember though, with lace, you should always keep your appearance elegant and ladylike.

Gap: White Wash Jeans

For this summer, i really wanted a nice pair of white-wash jeans. I started looking around for them around December, and i finally found them in Gap's spring collection (thank the lord....). I tried them on and i LOVED them, they fit so well! I wanted to buy them right then and there, but i had to check H&M too. I went to h&m - nothing. So i came back to Gap to buy them, and lo and behold, they were taken.

I was devastated. I went home and i bought them online immediately - this was on the 18th. They arrived 6 days later on the 24th. This is how it all went done:

These are the straight cut 1969 white wash jeans, and they fit me so well. I got these same exact things, but khaki corduroys for fall/winter and they were also amazing. (I've worn them so much the corduroys aren't there anymore...its basically just a thin layer of fabric now) ((you may be laughing but it looks pretty gross))

I was just doing my routinely Lady Gaga google search, when BOOOM! I was struck by a ray of excitement, i was paralyzed from the fingers down. I didn't know the music video for Judas came out already! I was going to click on it, but i forced myself to wait the tedious 90 seconds for my popcorn to get ready:

The only part of this video i didn't really enjoy was the 0:35 seconds you had to wait for the song to actually start! I was shaking with excitement for 35 seconds, popcorn in lap, just waiting. However, after that 0:35 seconds my life had become __ that much better.

Another thing i really didn't understand, 5:04 to 5:14, why were they throwing rocks at gaga? While she was in a....wedding dress?
Although the normal side of my brain didn't like the 35 seconds at the beginning, my teenage side did. Its a nice introduction to the video.

FASHION SIDE OF MY BRAIN:

OK, well the fashion director for Judas was Nicola Formichetti! He did such an amazing job.
The Leather motorcycle jackets that were worn were by Haus Of Gaga, in collaboration with Tom Tom.
I'm just really happy that Gaga incorperates so much Fashion into her videos, it makes them so much more interesting.
My favorite piece in this entire video was the purple catsuit she wore while on the motorcycle. I was pleasantly surprised when i was told that it was by Mugler~
I'm not sure if you remember the Dream i had, but i was basically cape filled. I have this weird....not obsession, but lust for capes And i was so happy that Gaga wore the hooded cape by Ayumi Shibata for Slow.

Overall, i really did enjoy watching this video, and i predict that i will watch it many, many (many) more times.

It Gets Better

Bullying is a huge problem in Schools all across America. I see it at my school, and I'm sure you all see it at yours too (sorry if your an adult...). Nobody has came out and said they're gay at my school, and i don't think anyone is, but i know that many gays that were in school have committed suicide because they were bullied and harassed.

Do you understand what that means? They KILLED THEMSELVES, they truly thought that dying was better than what they had to deal with! I'm getting goosebumps just talking about this. If your getting bullied (Either about being gay, or just general bullying) you HAVE to tell either your parents, your counselor, or just an adult that you really trust (even a teacher). I know it probably seems like it would be embarrassing, but i promise after you tell someone, the bullying will become less and less till it eventually stops.

Google Chrome has started the It Gets Better Project in response to the recent suicides of the many gay teens in America. The IGBP's (i just came up with that) main goal is to get this message across to gay teens: It Gets Better. As time goes on, it truly does get better. If you are a gay teen/or a regular teen and your thinking about killing yourself, you need to think about what your doing. Your taking your own life away, while also causing EXTREME depression to the ones you love. Do you seriously think that would make anything better? That would create so, so many more problems. I've dealt with suicide before, and let me tell you, it was one of the most painful, horrible experiences in all my life.

If you just feel like there's just no one out there, to really talk to, i promise there is! There are SO many different organizations that can help you! I know that its kinda random that i posted this, but what recently happened with the 'Don't say gay' bill really got on my nerves. Tennessee passed the Don't say gay bill on Friday, it basically bans teachers from discussing homosexuality with elementary and middle school student. What if a student is gay? This bill is going to destroy their self-worth and its just so stupid how It got passed.

Pretty In Pink

Pretty in Pink is....simply a movie about teenage romance that was made in 1986. The plot is classic: Popular boy likes Not so popular girl. These are the kinds of movies i live for, what makes this movie that much more interesting though, is that is captures teenage life in a way I've never seen before. Its all about cliques and which one you belong in.

I've thought about this topic many, many times. I hate the idea of cliques and some people being left out while some other people are 'in'. I try to avoid cliques all together, but i feel like there's even a clique for that. There are the 'cool' 'popular' kids, the 'losers', the 'nerds'. I HATE it. People, especially teenagers, shouldn't be categorized like that! It really lowers ones self worth when they're labeled. I really hate to say it, but i sometimes find myself trying to fit in and be in the popular crowd. And i feel that I've tried so often, and so much that I've actually been adopted by this crowd of 'populars'.

I'm not sure about other schools, but i always thought them to be snobby and such. Some are, not joke, but some really are sweet and kind and loyal and trustworthy and...ahh some are really great. They know how to help people with their problems, they help people with problems they've never even have! I'm glad that Ive been in this group and that I've met the good people from it, but i feel like its time to move on. Time to..not join..but seek other types of groups and people.

I have a theory. I want to move from clique to clique, group to group, gathering the best from each, and become good friends with them. After I've visited each and every clique and sorted out the cream of the crop, I'm going to try to developed my own group. They say birds of a feather flock together (i really hope that's what they say, cause if it isn't that's going to be very embarrassing), so why cant teenagers of the same interests and same goodness at heart be friends together? My main intention behind my theory is to create and join the different people from the different groups into one group. I realize that what I'm trying to accomplish probably isn't going to happen easily, but I'm willing to take the extra step to make sure it happens. It's essential for the people my ages to know different kids of people. Be friends with your clique, I'm not saying to completely abandon them, I'm just encourages teens like myself to explore different groups, and become friends with people you wouldn't usually even look at!

I know that different people could be great friends if they just stepped out of their little group and met each other, and that's exactly what I'm trying to accomplish! I want people to become friends with people they aren't usually friends with and for people to realize that they CAN be friends with people they aren't usually friends with.

OK that's enough about me, lets get back to the movie. Andie (or Andy) the main character is a girl that comes from a low income family that has such an AMAZING sense of style, its truly spectacular. She likes a boy that comes from the rich side of town, a boy that hangs out with the rich popular kids. When the boy asks the girl out, basically, HELL BRAKES LOOSE. The people from their groups start hating on them and basically all they have is each other. Its such a romantic, style-filled, expertly plotted movie, it'll really surprise you. I found the original trailer from 1986! Hope you enjoy:

This ones the rich popular kids. This is Andie, the main character. And this is Duckie, Andie's Best friend.

You can probably tell that i made this in paint, but still. There's a huge love triangle that occurs throughout this movie. Duckies in love with Andie, while Andie and Blaine are hopelessly in love with each other.

I realize that i use the term rich and popular often, and that its seeming that i frown upon the rich and popular. That's not what I'm trying to get at. Heck, that would be frowning upon myself! There are good and bad people everywhere in every group of people. Its your responsibility (or choice) to surround yourself with the good people, not the bad.

Summer 2011 / Yohji Yamamoto Fall 2011 RTW

Schools finally over, Finals are finished, my white-wash jeans are arriving in two days, I'm going to be in High School next year, and Summer 2011 has finally started! Ok, lets get down to business......this summer, I'm planning to do a lot on my blog. It's only been a month or two that I've started blogging and i already feel so included and supported by other fashion bloggers. I feel that the Fashion Blogging Industry (yes, I'm willing to call it an industry) is one of the most reviving and enjoyable there is. You meet so many different, wonderful people from all over the world. And i don't know any another other way to make such good relationships with fashion companies than blogging. For now though, I'm just thoroughly enjoying my blog, and i can't wait to see whats in store for it this Summer.

Now onto some more Fashionable topics. I was cruising around Style.com when i came to Yohji Yamamoto's Fall 2011 RTW page. One word: ORGASMIC! Each season, and each runway show, I've been realizing that Yohji's work has been morphing, adapting to newer, more high fashion trends. One of my favorite characteristic in a brand is to clearly realize that it is moving forward. Another thing i like to see in a Designer is consistency. What i really love about Yohji is that his work is consistent, but it also evolves. I already know that next year, we're going to be able to tell which collection is Yohji's by just looking at it, however it's going to also be shifted into a newer look. This collection basically had my most favorite things in it: punk, dark colors, unusual patterns, flowy material; ugh! It was amazing.

Start Shopping Wisely

We've all had the moment where: we like something, we don't love it, but we like it. We try it on; its OK. You buy it anyways, hoping that it'll go with something, anything in your wardrobe. And....it doesn't! That's happened to me many, many times, and i don't want anyone else to go through what i had to. That's why I'm writing this post! I'm going to guide you in the do's and dont's of shopping.

DO'S:

After you've gotten through the 'i like this' phase, really look at what your about to buy. Ask yourself, "do i really LOVE this?". If the answer if yes, congratulations on your new whatever! If the answer is no, put it right back where you found it and be happy that you made the decision to.
Make sure what your about to buy is flattering to you and your body. Don't buy something just because it has a cool pattern, or because everyone has it.
Don't limit yourself to only the stores in your local mall! Get on google and find some other unique stores around you, you'd be surprised how many awesome stores you didn't know about.
Be true to yourself and your personal style. Just because everyone has those new cool vomit pink handbag, doesn't mean you have to have one as well. If your a Teen like me, this will probably be one of the hardest things to follow, however it isn't impossible! Dress for yourself, not for other people.
If your an impulse shopper, set yourself a budget and only bring cash with you. With credit cards, the things you can buy are endless, so you need to bring cash only so you wont go over your budget.

DON'TS

Don't buy something just because it goes with something else in your closet. I'm including this rule because, over time if you keep buy things that match with each other, your whole wardrobe will become one huge boring collection of the same things.
This rule ties in with the previous. When shopping, don't buy different things that form an outfit. This will ultimately be the cause of your downfall......(exaggerating). You don't want to only be limited to only a small series of outfits! Buy different, unique things!
Another thing, try not to follow trends (that closely at least). Trends are called trends because they don't stay around for a long time. Especially now a days. Try to buy things that are timeless, things that never get 'thrown out'.
Don't go shopping more than once a week. If you do, it really provokes impulse shopping. And besides, if you go to the mall often, you'll become used to the clothes and everything will look the same.
Make sure you don't buy off a website unless your positive it's safe! You do not want some unknown company having your address.

Always be on the look out for something that really speaks to you, those are the best purchases you will ever make.

Chanel S/S 2011 LookBook

I'm not really sure as to why Chanel sends us their LookBooks every season, but i definitely AM NOT complaining. I've previously writing about this S/S collection, but now that i actually have the book, everythings sort of different! The lookbook really made the pictures come to life. A big tip of my hat to Karl Lagerfeld for taking these! The first time i looked at the book, i spent about 3 minutes (that's a lot if you actually think about it!) on each page. nifty 'bag'

I'm not sure if I've mentioned this or not, but my family and i go on vacations quite often. They're mostly because of my father's job, but he takes his ole' family along with him (What a wonderful daddy, i know). I think we we were somewhere in Australia when my mother made the decision to buy this.....uhh bag? Piece of luggage? Lets just call it a bag, shall we? I asked my mom where she bought it, and she thinks she bought it from a hut-Esq sort of place. AKA, a hole in the wall.

I'm not sure if you can tell from the picture, but its been through A LOT (dropped into an ocean, fallen off a balcony, attacked by a dog, smashed by a much bigger and heavier suitcase) . I'm way to embarrassed to show you guys a picture of the inside of it, however the outside has maintained a presentable appearance. My favorite thing about this bag is it's old feel. The pattern, the handles, the lock...everything about this bag really makes it look like a genuine antique. I certainly hope its not an antique, eh if it was it would be broken by now.

Looking at it from the picture, this bag looks really small. But don't let looks deceive you! This bag can hold lots, and LOTS of clothes. I've even fit 5 pairs of shoes into this bad. Ahh yes, and if your wondering how the bag is defying gravity and somehow hanging from the tree, it isn't magic :( I just used a chain sort of thing.

Fashion Week - Outside America

I was recently messaging one of my fellow bloggers, Lee Oliveira (the genuis behind LeeOlveira.com), while i was cruising around his site. Lee currently resides in Australia, and hes been writing about RAFW (Rosemount Australian Fashion Week). After looking at his posts about RAFW, i began to think about fashion week outside America.

I'm not quite sure about everyone else, but till now I've only been thinking about NYFW (i was unpleasently surprised to realize my own close mindedness). After i stared my blog and started to meet other bloggers outside the U.S., i quickly realized that fashion (and fashion blogging) is BIG everywhere. I've only just started to realize American fashion, and now I've been exposed to fashion in Australia, England, The Philippines! There's just so much to take in and to learn.

As i talked about earlier, Australia's fashion week has been extremely interesting for me. Oliveira's posts on Australia's fashion week have been helping me incredibly. His pictures give you a great feelings of what it would feel like to actually be attending RAFW. While i was browsing his pictures, i began to compare and differentiate between RAFW and NYFW.

I'm not trying to stereotype or anything, but when i look at the RAFW shows and model, i can instantly tell that they aren't American, and that's really a new thing to me! I love their I'm-not-trying-to-but-i-know-I'm-exotic look. The models Ive seen so far have the most AMAZING face structure and collar bones! It really amazed me how beautiful people can be.

I think for the time being, each new fashion week i learn about will be compared to America's. However, as my blog and i grow, i believe that I'll begin to be able to compare foreign fashion, to other foreign fashion. I'm ecstatic with the thought of learning about foreign fashion and meeting bloggers outside my country's barriers.

Dreaming of a Fashion Forward Tomorrow

After staying up past my bed time (rebellious) to write a blog for you guys, i basically passed out. I usually never remember my dreams, and if i rarely do remember, they're little snip-its. But that night's dream was vivid and it felt so real.

My dream: i was attending the Valentino 2017 FW Couture show in Milan.
Best. Dream. Ever.
I wish i was an artist so i could sketch out what i saw! The one thing i remember the best were the capes. Capes, capes, capes. There was nothing but them. Long trains spreading out behind the model, leaving a glittery train. I was in heaven. I was sitting front row next to Franca Sozzani and Anna Wintour; and my life was complete.

Another thing i remember was the runway. It was made of what seemed to be a semi-precious gem (aquamarine maybe?) and gave off an amazing light blue hue, and it complemented the clothing magnificently.

The trends i saw at that fashion show were, of course, my favorite trends right now! Alexander McQueen 15 inch heels, (my all time favorite) capes, shoulder pads, skin colored skin tight clothing, architecturally sound dresses, lace elbow length gloves, vintage embroidered umbrellas, and pieces that seemed to be made by nature herself.

I'm really hoping for another dream like this, I'm doing everything i did that day before i went to bed so that i may get lucky and catch another glimpse into fashion's future.

This is just going to be a little update post.

After many e-mails, and a lot of peer pressure, i ultimately decided to join the twitter community! I was making my account when i was unpleasantly surprised with this little message: "sorry, the user name Mordrian has been taken". REALLY? someone already took the user name Mordrian? I went to mordrian's account, and lo and behold, its some guy who joined 198 days ago and only has one tweet to a p__n star name Juniper or something. I wasn't happy :( so i settled for Mordriane. You can follow, or not, here.

I'm going to new york, but i have a separate post coming up for that!

Many people have been asking me questions by e-mail, and i thought it would be a good idea if i started a FAQ page! So if anyone has any question what so ever, e-mail me at mordrian@yahoo.com. I dont know about you guys, but this sounds like a lot of fun. . .
And last, but not least, Finals.
Finals are murdering me, study study study, and then study again. Its getting to be a bit heinous, but I'm holding on. Only 10 more days of school left! Lets go back in time....back to Fall 09. You guys may think I'm mental, posting about fashion 2 years ago. However i personally love looking back in fashion's history, and I've recently realized that further back you go, the crazier and more fun the collections get.

Boo's and Bows! Rachel Antonoff you are a true genius, putting those two style together! How can you not like something Julia Frankes, Sara Sophie Flicker, and Alia Shawkat are in? What i really like about this though, is that it's timeless. This could have easily been an ad in 2010, and I'm willing to say 2011 as well. And i think that's what really matter, being timeless.

My favorite designers are those that actually willing to create a look that will last the test of time, and that will be worn year in and year out.

I feel that, in this day and time, its very important to be able to share your emotions and feelings. Everyone needs a creative outlet of some kind to help them express themselves. I think that's the reason why i like the idea of mood boards so much. They help you move on and it's a good way to take any stresses you have away. Its almost as if you're having a spiritual awakening, it helps you become more comfortable and relaxed with yourself.

This month's mood: Melancholy

I think the reason behind my mood is the Rain. It been rain rain rain here, day in and day out. Haven't seen the sun in a while, and that really bothers me. How is someone supposed to enjoy a day when they wake up, look out the window, and they can barely tell if its day or night? Every time i go outside i get soaked, and i haven't been outside my neighborhood in a while. I know some people may like the rain, and i do too, but not day after day after day. My life has been turned into a great puddle of water, and I'm not very happy about it. I'm just hoping that the rain will seize, and the sun shines. Hopeful...yes i like that word.

This month's mood: Hopefully Melancholy................i like that better than plain melancholy

tough hardy man's outdoor shoes

Don't mind the title, I'm just poking a little fun at these inanimate shoes (don't judge me). If your not like me, and don't have a father who keeps ALL his shoes, than you probably don't have fun looking through his closet. I'm sorry if your not like me in that aspect of your life, because its very fulfilling to find something you like in his sea of shoes (hehe).

I found these outdoorsy shoes today while i was journeying through his collection, and, surprisingly, i fell in love. These leather man shoes aren't usually my type, but for some unknown reason, the chunkiness of these shoes really spoke to me (again, don't judge).

Now i looked at this pair of shoes for a while till i realized what brand they were: Rockport. If your like me, you have no idea what Rockport is, much less where you buy them. And I'm a little curious as to where my father obtained these shoes. I did some research on Rockport, and i found their website! I attempted to search for these shoes in their website, but i quickly found out that this style of shoe was LONG outdated and i don't think they sell it anymore.

Other than the fact that the history behind these shoes are a bit sketchy, they're very very comfortable to wear and their color goes along with almost any other colors swimmingly. They're a bit chunky and look awkward, but once you wear them they fall into place instantly. I think that people either love this shoe, or hate it. I for one love it and hope i don't grow out of them too quickly...

remembering, Alexander McQueen

Although Alexander McQueen's death was such a tragic, huge blow to the fashion industry, by no means will he be forgotten anytime soon. People from all over the work flocked to New York's Metropolitan Museum of Arts last night for the MET, and for a look at their new exhibition of McQueen's greatest and most iconic pieces. Although i didn't attend :(, i heard it was fantastic, and that many models, aspiring models, celebrities, and...FASHION BLOGGERS (represent!!) were there. Here are some of my personal favorite pieces:

So this is basically the soundtrack to my life? Actually.....lets not get into my love life ;) haha. I'm into you, sang by Jennifer Lopez (ft. Lil' Wayne), is basically a song about how shes into you (this guy). The song is catchy, but what really caught my attention is the music video. The music video was shot in the Yucatan Peninsula on the Mayan ruins. In the video, it shows her dancing on Chichen itza (El Castillo), and she looks stunning. No surprise Jennifer Lopez looked breath taking, but William Levy (actor from my telanovela, Triunfo Del Amor) also made a cameo. Levy is a handsome guy blah blah wish i was him blah blah rubbing up on J Lo like that blah blah. The scenery and seduction in this video was a very interesting mix, and i was very surprised that Lil' Wayne didn't make an appearance, considering he was a big part of the song. I'll tell you my favorite part of the video after you watch.

Hehe it makes me smile each time i watch it. Well could you tell which part was my favorite? Of course it was the snakeskin! That snakeskin dress + matching turban and bangles + her smizing + wide = oh my it looks as if we're got ourselves a goddess. Now for some Screenshots:

iphone case: update

I'm not sure if you guys remembers my first post, but it was about these adorable cassette iPhone cases. I ordered mine the day i wrote about them, and they arrived today! Sorry the picture is so bad, dumb camera keeps acting up....grumble grumble

Sure it has some weak points: *You cant charge your phone when its in the case
                                                 *It doesn't take much for the case to peel/slide right off
                                                 *The top circle on the back doest encompass the apple logo
                                                     (sorry OCD me)

But really, what was i expecting from an iPhone case i bought for a dollar? It looks really good, I'm very happy i bought the blue one, and Ive gotten at least 7 complements today about "how cool my case was". Ahh i love it!

five trends to follow this spring

1. Garden

This spring, a big trend Ive been seeing are floral prints, everywhere. Ladys: this should be a piece of cake for you! Floral tops, floral leggings, floral pants, floral shoes! (just please please, only one floral per outfit)

Men: step out of your "men don't wear flowers" box, and throw away your short sleeve Hawaiian flower/tiki/half naked hula girls shirt. I've seen a few great floral tops, shorts, and even floral socks. Just think outside the box.

2. Lace

OK, i know lace isn't new or anything, but, like history, trends repeat themselves. The color of lace really matters in the spring, so i would suggest wearing light/nude tones: beige, camel, white, blush. 3. Stripes

Stripes are, really, a trend in every season. We always see stripes, and i see absolutely nothing wrong with that! Women: Walk into any store and you'll find some. I really like the blue and white combination, and of course the black and white is always chic.

Men: I would stay close to the same combos as the gals, men. I like short sleeved stripes, but long sleeve is my favorite! I know for a fact that both Gap and H&M have them. And i know this goes without saying, but please stay away from stripes on stripes.

4. Preppy

Think private high school....in England. It really isn't that hard to style something "preppy". I feel like spring is the perfect time for preppy, the soft colors....ahhh i love it!

This Royal Wedding has been on the minds of many many people for the past few weeks. I for one was pleasantly surprised when i heard that our little Prince William was going to marry, but i had no idea who Kate Middleton was. After a bit of research (and a ton of Camembert), i realized what a beautiful young lady she is. I am extremely happy for William and Kate and i wish them a long happy life, but now lets get on to the exciting shit: the wedding.

For me, the wedding aired on April 29 at 4:30 a.m. I usually get up to go to school at 6:30, so i knew this would be a little challenge for me. I set my alarm at 4:00, and once 4:00 came, i was ecstatic. I ran to the TV, turned it on, and lo and behold, The Royal Wedding. Everything was going great, till i yawned. I yawned, put my head down on a pillow, and proceeded to sleep till 7:30 (the time i leave my house to go to school). I woke up, and instantly hated myself. I missed all the wedding and they were now on the balcony, waving. I almost started to tear up when i then looked at my clock. My hatred toward myself doubled. 7:45 a.m. I got ready in a matter of minutes and i was out the door.

The school day was a drag. But right when i came home i checked the TV guide to see what time it would be replayed, April 29, 7:00 p.m. :( So here i am....waiting. I wanted to know a little information before i saw the wedding, so i went right on to my favorite search engine, and proceeded to search away. Now, for some pictures:

Illesteva Frieda Sunglasses

WOW, that's really all I'm capable of saying at the moment. These sunglasses are pure chic and style. I have a feeling these round framed glasses are going to get more and more popular over time, and we're going to see a lot of this style this summer. Round frame + tort-ish color + illesteva frieda = this pot o' gold right here. I feel like i could wear these spring, summer, fall, and winter. Purr-fect!

As strange as this may seem, i don't recall ever wearing a round framed pair of sunglasses, I'm not even sure if my face shape is right for a round frame. I have an oval shaped head so....This was supposed to be part of my Spring wish list, but i guess i just forgot to add it. Too bad there all sold out at the moment though, i have no attention span.

After looking at some of my fellow blogger's blogs, i noticed that they've been making mood boards. Mood Boards are basically a plethora of images that represent one's mood. This sounds like a lot of fun, and it reminds me of the time when i used to write down my feelings to get them out. Considering I'm a 14 year old boy, I'm probably going to have a different mood board every hour. But I'm going to try to limit myself to only 1 mood board per month.

Whenever you team up a legendary photographer (Karl Lagerfeld) with an iconic brand (Chanel), something wonderful is bound to be produced. This ss collection wasn't that impressive, although there were a few pieces that really were breathtaking, the rest were a bit....Eh. The ad campaign really made up for it, though! These pictures are stunning. I think its the contrast between what the models are wearing and where they are that makes me like these pictures so much.

I'm not sure if any of you watch America's Next Top Model, but i sure do. And last week was a very depressing episode for me. My favorite contestant, Jaclyn Poole (the sweet girl next door), got voted off. This girl is the sweetest, nicest person you will ever meet in your life. Shes basically just a girl wrapped up in a sweet southern accent with baby cute features. She hates it when people curse, fight, argue, shes allergic to bees, and she doesn't like making people sad. In one point of the show, the so called bitch (so called, I'm not judging, Ive never met the girl) Alexandria calls Jaclyn out because she was giggling at Alexandria (which she wasn't) and Jaclyn walks out the room crying. I was ready to kill.....ugh so cute. It really was surprising that such a innocent, fearless girl was voted off ANTM (especially when she got top photo last week), but UNFORTUNATELY she got voted off! Your still a Top Model to me Jaclyn!

These boat shoes have gotten me through a lot: rainy, sunny, actually on a boat, you name it. Although its a bit of a challenge to tie the laces, its overall style (and color) really crosses out that small problem. What i like about these shoes are that they're both spring and summer, the color really goes with anything, and they can be worn with pants or shorts. Hehe very happy i bought these, definitely recommended.

Lets first start off with Chanel, shall we? This Spring couture collection was like nothing I've ever seen before, the clothes seemed to radiate elegance and chic. These pieces seemed as if they were made from light itself. Usually on the couture runway, we see heavy heavy heavy, but Chanel seemed to master the line right between too heavy and too light. I congratulate you Chanel, for another amazing collection.

Now, on to Givenchy. This year, Givenchy leaned towards a more Japanese inspired collection. Everything seemed to have a robotic edge to it, and i absolutely love it! It was extraordinarily hard to choose which looks i was going to put on this blog, all of them are so unique and its obvious many hours of labor went into the making of these dresses.

The fashion industries been through many different phases, and i feel like we are in the midst of it's newest one. Chances are, if you pick up a fashion magazine, you`ll probably find at least one picture of a girl - lips parted - with a gap in between their teeth. This feature is so high-fashion and so photogenic, its just amazing. Some of the most iconic and remembered models/pictures are those with gaped teeth. I, personally, love this trait and it gives people a unique, chic look.

Many of you guys have iPhones, and I'm sure they have cases. But have you ever looked at your phone cases as ~~a reason to chew on something~~ a fashion accessorie? Well i never did, till the day i saw this little ray of sunshine...

There are a lot of different colors, but i personally like the blue the best :)

Well i instantly fell in love, and i ordered one right away!
